James Larry Smart

James Larry Smart, age 61, of Lometa, TX died Friday September 6, 2013 at Girling Hospice in Round Rock, TX. Larry was born December 12, 1951 in Hamlin, TX the son of James Gideon Smart and Anna Elouise (Penny) Smart. He served in the U.S. Army and later went to work as a lineman for Hamilton County. Larry enjoyed fishing, camping, and traveling. He was a resident of Lometa for 40 years. Survivors include; wife, Janet Smart of Lometa 2 sons; Jamie Smart and his wife, Tiffany of Lometa Kevin Smart and his wife, Casey of Lampasas 1 daughter; Tricia Mumme and her husband, Scott of Lampasas 1 brother; Kenny Smart and his wife, Kim of Aspermont 2 sisters; Vickie Jeffrey and her husband, Ricky of McCaulley Tiny Pace Grandchildren; D.J., Donnie, Kenedi, Caybree, Chayce, and Riley Larry was preceded in death by his parents. A visitation for Mr. Smart will be held on Saturday September 7, 2013 from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be held Sunday September 8, 2013 at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Lometa, TX. Burial will follow at Senterfitt Cemetery.
