Christine J. Wagner

Christine J. Wagner, age 80 of Lampasas, TX died Sunday August 11, 2013 at Regal Nursing and Rehabilitation. Christine was born May 12, 1933 in Colorado City, TX the daughter of Clyde Calaway and Pauline (McCarty) Calaway. She married Little Jack Wagner on May 7, 1950 in Wimberley, TX. Christine moved to Lampasas in 1962 where she was cashier for Lampasas Drug Store, Crocker’s Food Mart, and Winn Dixie where she won several awards for “Outstanding Cashier”. Survivors include: daughters; Edith Ware (Bradley) of Ding Dong, TX and Sandee Tamayo (Tommy) of Lampasas Sons; Bobby Jack Wagner (Sally) of Lampasas, Billy Wagner (Doris) of Wimberley and Barney Wagner of Austin Siblings; Imogene Robinson (Bill) of Wimberley, Joe Calaway (Dottie) of San Marcos and Robert “Penny” Calaway (Shirley) of Bangs, TX 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews Christine was preceded in death by her husband, parents, granddaughter; Melissa Tamayo and grandsons; Aaron and Byron Wagner. Funeral service will be Friday August 16, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Burial will follow Friday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. at Wimberley City Cemetery.
