David Ray Smith

David Ray Smith, age 65 of Lampasas, TX died Saturday August 3, 2013 at Lampasas Nursing and Rehab. David was born December 11, 1947 in Lampasas, TX the son of Wilton “Bud” Smith and Marguerite (Baker) Smith. He graduated from Killeen High School, and went on to Stephen F. Austin State University, where he obtained a Bachelor’s degree in business. David worked as a salesman at Smith & Smith Propane and Hardware in Killeen for a number of years. He lived in Lampasas for most of his life. Survivors include: his wife, Gracie Smith of Lampasas Step son: David Rakowitz of Angleton Step daughter: Lisa Metheny of Beeville 4 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren David was preceded in death by his parents, and by his sister, Barbara Huse. A visitation for David Smith will be held on Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at 9 a.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 10:00 a.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel. Interment will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lampasas. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, or Vista Care Hospice.
