F Gary Dobbs

Gary Dobbs of Arlington, Texas passed away at Arlington Memorial Hospital on April 20, 2013 after a brief illness. He was 61 years old. Mr. Dobbs was born in Santa Ana, California. He graduated from Moline High School in Moline, IL. Gary married Michelle France in 1987, and they divorced in 1997. They had one daughter. He was employed by Jason’s Deli in Arlington. Survivors include his daughter, Courtney Dobbs, Arlington, TX. a grandson, Silas Whetstone, Arlington, TX.; his mother, Barbara Dobbs, Lampasas, TX. , a sister and brother-in-law, Terry and Mark Monty, Hamilton, NY; a sister, Barb Dobbs, Lampasas, TX., and a brother, Duane Dobbs of Lampasas, TX. Many dear friends also survive him. His father, Barney Dobbs of Lampasas, TX preceded him in death. Gary was passionate about writing stories and singing songs. He enjoyed cooking, and playing the guitar. He was a great baseball fan and an avid golfer. He was a devoted Pappau, whose favorite activity was spending time with his beloved grandson, Silas. Sneed Funeral Chapel in Lampasas will handle the arrangements. His remains will be cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date. A scholarship fund is being established in his memory for his grandson. Gary’s family and his many friends will miss him.
