William Rudder Jr., age 86 of Kempner, Texas died Sunday April 7, 2013 at Spring Oaks Nursing and Rehab in Lampasas. William was born May 21, 1926 in Montgomery, Alabama the son of William Uriah Rudder and Fannie May (Pugh) Rudder. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII, where he received a Purple Heart. After he got out of the military, William began working for Stauffer Chemical Company as a chemical operator. He was a member of the St. Paul Methodist Church in Baytown, as well as a member of the VFW. William enjoyed fishing, and hunting waterfowl.

Grandchildren; Tiffany, Candace, Courtney, B.J., Brent, Anson, and Jami
Great-grandchildren; Jay Ryan, Emma, and Avery
William was preceded in death by 5 sisters; Gussie, Joe Ellen, Barbara, Dottie, and Kathryn.
Visitation for Mr. Rudder will be from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 11, 2013 at Sneed Funeral Chapel. A graveside funeral service will be held on Friday, April 12, 2013 at 11:45 a.m. at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas.
