Paul L. “Bud” Seaver, III, 65, most recently of Lampasas, went to his ultimate home in heaven on April 4, 2013. Mr. Seaver resided with his son, Rodney Seaver, Rodney’s wife, Carrie Seaver, and their children, Rush, Sydney and Owen Seaver. Mr. Seaver previously resided for 20 years in Stephenville, Texas, until coming to Lampasas in March 2012.
Mr. Seaver was born in Jacksonville, Florida to DeLanie and Paul L. Seaver, Jr. Mr. Seaver attended both Midwestern State University and University of Hawaii, and received degrees at both. As a member of the United States Air Force, Mr. Seaver flew B-52’s just after the Vietnam War. He retired from the Air Force having achieved the rank of Captain. Mr. Seaver spent 22 plus years teaching science, to include 13 years at Santo High School.
Mr. Seaver was a member of Patillo Baptist Church. He was an active member and was dedicated to his family, church and the youth in the communities in which he lived and worked. Mr. Seaver had a large church family in Santo/Patillo. He enjoyed camping and retreats with the youth of his church. Mr. Seaver has attended his son and daughter in law’s church, Grace Fellowship, in Lampasas, since he has lived there.
Mr. Seaver was preceded in death by his father Paul L. Seaver, Jr. He is survived by his mother, Catherine DeLanie Seaver, as well as his sisters, Danese Seaver Andrews and Karen Seaver Johnson and their families.
His is also survived by his sons, Timothy Seaver; Chris Seaver and Rodney Seaver; Rodney’s wife, Carrie and their children, Rush, Sydney, and Owen.
Memorial services will be held at Mr. Seaver’s home church of Patillo Baptist Church in Patillo, Texas, on Wednesday, April 10th, 2013 at 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests live plants are sent, or that donations be made to the Patillo Baptist Church Youth Group.
