Richard Theodore Roberts

Richard Theodore (Ted) Roberts, age 84 of Lampasas, TX died Thursday April 4, 2013 at Scott and White Memorial Hospital in Temple, TX. Ted was born January 2, 1929 in Lampasas, TX the son of Chester Urban Roberts and Amateen (Holloman) Roberts. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He went on to be a civil service employee at Ft. Hood, working in the aircraft maintenance shop. Ted was a member of the First Baptist Church, and a resident of Lampasas all of his life. Survivors include wife: Elizabeth Roberts of Lampasas Son: Harvey Roberts and wife Susan of Lampasas Daughter: Linda Abshier and husband Ron of Bluffton Cousin: Nolan Machen of Lampasas Step-grandchildren: Jessica Pechak and husband Chad Kim Diefenthaler and husband Tim Tracy Berg and husband David Step great-grandchildren: Kylie, Dylan, and Evan Ted was preceded in death by his brother, Jack Roberts. A graveside funeral service for Mr. Roberts will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lampasas. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
