Amos Lee Van Hook Sr., age 84 of Lampasas, TX died Saturday March 23, 2013 at Metroplex Hospital in Killeen, TX. Amos was born February 4, 1929 in Hodue, KY the son of Curtis Van Hook and Ethel (Leigh) Van Hook. He was raised by Bailey and Ethel Morgan. He was a veteran of the Korean War. He worked for Civil Service at Ft. Hood as a painter. He did contract painting after retirement. He loved gardening, fishing, camping, playing dominoes, telling jokes and animals. He was a man of integrity that was loved and will be greatly missed.

Amos was preceded in death by his 1st wife, Josie (Brown) Van Hook, by step-daughter, Patsy Gass.
Funeral service for Amos Van Hook Sr. will be held on Tuesday March 26, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday March 25, 2013 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel.
