Jimmy T Phillips

James Thomas (Jimmy) Phillips age 74 of Lampasas, TX died Saturday March 16, 2013 at his home. Jimmy was born September 30, 1938 in Lampasas the son of Samuel L. Phillips and Aldena M. (Beesley) Phillips. He grew up in, and was a life-long resident of Lampasas. Jimmy married Barbara Burns March 20, 1959. He worked for the phone company and retired as a cable splicer after a 39 year career. He enjoyed ranching, hunting and cooking barbeque. He belonged to the Central Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). Survivors include his wife, Barbara Phillips of Lampasas 2 sons; Carl Ray Phillips and wife Terri of Austin Curt Phillips of Lampasas 2 brothers; Samuel L. Phillips Jr. and wife Susie of Buchanan Dam, TX David Carl Phillips and wife Carmen of Copperas Cove, TX 4 grandchildren; Courtney, Ciara, Kayle and Todd Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents and by his brother, Ricky Visitation will be Monday, March 18, 2013 from 6:00-7:00p.m. Funeral service will be Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery. Memorials can be made to Central Christian Church in Lampasas, TX or the American Cancer Society.
