Mark S. Campbell, age 51, of Copperas Cove passed away on Monday, May 22, 2017, in Hawaii. Funeral Services will be 9:00 am on Friday, June 2, 2017, at Scott's Funeral Home of Copperas Cove with burial at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen with full military honors. Mark was born on June 19, 1965, in Ashtabula, Ohio to Carl and Sandra Whipkey Campbell. He graduated from Ashtabula High School in 1983. After high school, he joined the United States Army and retired in June of 2005 after serving 22 years. Mark attained the rank of First Sergeant.  In 2004-2005 Mark served in Baghdad, Iraq.  His awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Southwest Asia Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Medal and the National Defense Medal. All who served with Mark mourn his passing. At his first duty station in El Paso, Texas he met Jinette Malone while she was stationed there as well. They married on May 21, 1986 and recently celebrated their 31st anniversary.

In November 2003, Mark obtained his Texas real estate license and began working in the Copperas Cove office of Coldwell Banker United, REALTORS®.  He became Vice President of Sales in Killeen in 2008.

Mark also had a passion for teaching real-estate at Central Texas College.Mark led a high real estate performance team in the Ft Hood area.  His office was a top office in the entire Coldwell Banker system for over a decade. His focus on “consider it done” management rather than “I will take care of it” led all in the real estate industry to have tremendous respect for him.

No one ever had to ask Mark to go above and beyond, he did so every single day. His sense of humor was never ending and his passion to live life to the fullest was apparent every day of his life.

Mark was preceded in death by his mother, Sandra Campbell.

Mark is survived by his wife, Jinette Campbell; son, Ambroze Campbell and wife, Laura; daughter, Mercedeez Campbell; grandson, Ambroze Campbell, Jr "also known as Mark's little best buddy"; father, Carl Campbell, Sr.; siblings, Carl Campbell, Jr., Timothy Campbell, Heather Hayford and numerous nieces and nephews.
