George Dow Covington

George Dow Covington, age 81 of Belton, TX died Monday, February 4, 2013 at Weston Inn Health Center in Temple, TX. George was born May 28, 1931 in Paris, TX the son of Ely Janie “Jack” Covington and Mary “Sissy” (Baker) Covington. He grew up Honey Grove and Texarkana. He graduated from East Texas State College and enjoyed a long successful career as a stock broker. He was married to Judith Ann Maloney. George was an avid photographer and enjoyed making finely woven Nantucket Lightship baskets. Survivors include his wife, Judith Ann Covington of Belton 2 daughters; Jan Ellen Honeycutt of Dallas Sally Sue Bozeman of Lampasas Granddaughter, Hanna Brice Bozeman Sister, Mary Ann Netto of Arlington, TX Step-son, Wells Farnham of Minneapolis, MN Step-daughter, Jennifer Dougherty of St. Paul, MN Step grandson, Archer Dougherty Nieces; Karla Hearrington, Betsy Netto Nephew, Jeff Netto George was preceded in death by his parents and by his brother, Jack Baker Covington A private service will be held at a later date.
