Frances Marie Wallace Porter, age 70 of Lampasas, died Tuesday January 8, 2013 at Gateway Gardens in Marble Falls. Frances was born July 24, 1942 in Brownwood the daughter of Elmer Lowell Wallace and Erma Frances (Brown) Wallace. She graduated High School in Denver City and went on to attend beauty school. On August 8, 1964 she married R.B. Porter in Denver City. Frances later became a Justice of the Peace and served as such for 26 years in Lampasas County. She spent most of her adult life in Lampasas and was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Survivors include: 1 daughter: Susan White and husband Terry of Marble Falls
2 sons: Darrell Porter of Tyler
Bryan Porter and wife Heather of Lampasas
5 grandchildren: Mackenzie, Connor, Layton, Kennady, and Marisa
Frances was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her brother; Eugene Wallace.
Funeral services for Frances Porter will be held on Friday January 11, 2013 at 10:00 am at First Baptist Church in Lampasas, Texas. Burial will follow at Nix Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday, January 10, 2013 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel.
Memorials may be made to the Order of the Eastern Star or the Nix Cemetery.
