Wayne Edward Bell, 73, of Lampasas, Texas, passed away November 18, 2012 at his home. Wayne was born May 21, 1939 in Lott, Texas the son of Floyd E. Bell and Laura (Gunn) Bell. Wayne served in the United States Navy for 9 years, and the United States Air Force for 19 years. He served in Vietnam in 1967 and 1968. His duty stations include Thailand, Vietnam, Florida, New Mexico, Massachusetts, and Texas. While in New Mexico, Wayne helped with guidance systems for missile defense. He was also on the Naval Balloon Team. Wayne was a business owner. He owned antique shops in Port Isabel and South Padre Island. He enjoyed landscaping, motorcycles, classic cars, and flying small planes. In 1966, Wayne was the Hill Climb Champion of Texas in motorcycle competition.

Grandchildren; Cody, Kayla, Bryan, Genna, Brianna, Alyssa, and Tyler
2 great-grandchildren; Casyan and Xaron
8 step children, and numerous step-grandchildren
Wayne was preceded in death by his son; Pvt 1st class Bruce Edward Bell in 1980 who served in the Army, as well as his two brothers.
Funeral services for Mr. Bell will be held on Wednesday November 21, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Rock Church Cemetery.
