Theodore (Ted) Jackson Turley, age 79 of Lampasas, TX died Friday November 9, 2012 at his residence. Ted was born February 19, 1933 in Pueblo, CO the son of Arthur Mitchell Turley and Dorothy Eva (Collins) Turley. He grew up in Idaho, Montana and California and graduated from University of Nebraska with a degree in civil engineering. Ted was a pilot in the United States Air Force and was discharged as Captain. He later worked in Nebraska as design engineer for Interstate 80. He also worked at Ft. Hood for 20 years as a traffic engineer. He loved bird-watching with his wife and traveling to Sheridan Wyoming to spend the summer. Ted was a proud long-time member of Lampasas Baptist Church.

Ted was preceded in death by parents, by one sister and two brothers and by first wife Dorothy Jean.
A funeral service for Ted J. Turley will be held on Wednesday November 14, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel. Burial will be at Bellwood Memorial Park in Temple, TX at 1:00 p.m., Pastor Sammy Johnson will officiate. Visitation will be Tuesday November 13, 2012 from 5:30 -8:00 p.m.
