Joaquin Hernandez Martinez, age 76 of Lometa, Texas died Thursday October 11, 2012 at Rollins-Brook Community Hospital in Lampasas. Joaquin was born August 16, 1936 in Coahuila, Mexico the son of Martin De La Fuentes Martinez and Amalia (Hernandez) Sanchez. Joaquin was a welder, and a rancher. He was a member of the Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Lometa, Texas, and lived in Lometa for most of his life.

Joaquin was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Maria Pilar Martinez, three infant sisters, and one infant brother.
Rosary will be recited Monday October 15, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel. Funeral Mass will be Tuesday October 16, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lampasas. Burial will follow at Senterfitt Cemetery in Lometa.
