Billy John McBryde, age 74 of Lampasas, Texas died Tuesday October 2, 2012 at Scott & White Memorial Hospital in Temple. Bill John was born August 8, 1938 in Dingdong, Texas the son of John Robert McBryde and Thelma (Turner) McBryde. Bill John attended schools in Killeen, Lubbock, and Briggs. He was a horseshoer for many years and worked at many local auction barns until 2005. He was employed by David Winters for the last 15 plus years. He loved playing golf, gin, moon, and a lot of pool in his better seeing days. He loved to listen and dance to good country music. He and Sherry were lucky enough to attend the NFR rodeo in Las Vegas every year since it moved there in 1985. He strongly believed that if you don’t lie, cheat, or steal you will live an honest and happy life.

an aunt, uncle, nieces, nephews, and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and numerous aunts and uncles.
A celebration of his life will be held on October 20, 2012 at 5:30 p.m. at the Holiday House in Lampasas. Memorials can be made to the Lampasas Mission.
