Marlin Charles Stoner, age 87 of Lampasas, Texas died Friday September 14, 2012 at his home. Marlin was born March 27, 1925 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, the son of Charles Henry Stoner and Margaret (Morrison) Stoner. Marlin served in the United States Navy. He was a fireman in North Wales, Pennsylvania. Marlin also worked as a brick layer, and was a resident of Lampasas since 1972. Survivors include: Wife; Mary Stoner of Lampasas Brothers; Wayne Stoner of Mechaniesburg, Pennsylvania Glen Stoner of New Cumberland, Pennsylvania Several nieces and nephews Marlin was preceded in death by his brother Marvin Stoner, and his sister Rachel Kimmel. Visitation will be held on Monday September 17, 2012 from 5-7 p.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel in Lampasas. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday September 18, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at the Central Texas State Veteran’s Cemetery in Killeen, Texas at 2:00 p.m. Memorials may be given to: Second Chance Animal Shelter 5501 Clear Creek Road Killeen, Texas 76549 Sneed Funeral Chapel in charge of arrangements
