Willis Todd Alger, age 73 of Lampasas, Texas died Saturday, September 8, 2012 at Scott and White Memorial Hospital in Temple, Texas. Willis was born September 18, 1938 in West Suffield, Connecticut the son of Willis William Alger and Rita (Guertin) Alger. Willis served in the United States Army, and retired as a C-W 4. He also owned a donut store, a water store, a video store, and a trucking operation. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lampasas, and a resident of Lampasas since 1985. Willis married Caroline Harrison in 1961. She preceded him in death in 2007. He married Trudy Niedoba in 2008.

27 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren
Willis was preceded in death by his parents, first wife Caroline, sisters Peggy LaFountaine, Pat Peczka, and Jean Boyer, and a brother, William Reddin.
Rosary will be recited on Wednesday September 12, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel. A visitation will follow. Funeral Mass will be Thursday September 13, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lampasas. Burial will follow at the Central Texas Veteran’s Cemetery in Killeen.
Memorials may be given to the American Heart Association.
