Calvin Eckermann

Calvin M. Eckermann, age 88 of Lampasas, TX died Friday August 24, 2012 at Lampasas Nursing and Rehab Center in Lampasas, TX. Calvin was born August 22, 1924 in Holland, TX the son of Max Albert Eckermann and Elsie (Pausewang) Eckermann. He married Doris Jean Latham on December 22, 1947. Calvin had served in the Navy. He was a Master Mason for more than 50 years and served as Worshipful Master of Lodge #615. He was also a member of SPJST in Holland. Calvin had been a teacher for a number of years and a counselor at Lampasas High School from 1971 – 1986. He had been a resident of Lampasas for over the last 20 years. Calvin was a member of the First Baptist Church, where he served as deacon. Survivors include: wife: Doris Eckermann of Lampasas,TX Sons: Terry Eckermann and wife Linda of Lampasas, TX Richard Eckermann of Dallas, TX Daughters: Peggy Roth and husband Thomas of Brownwood, TX Paula Cox and husband Joe of Temple, TX Brother: Allen Eckermann of Houston, TX Sister: Bobbie Patterson of Mascoutah, IL 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren Visitation will be Sunday August 26, 2012 from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel. Funeral services for Calvin Eckermann will be held on Monday August 27, 2012 at10:00 a.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Holland Cemetery in Holland, TX.
