Donald Rikard

Donald A. Rikard, age 84 of Lampasas, TX died Friday August 24, 2012 at Rollins Brook Community Hospital. Donald was born January 18, 1928 in Hearne, TX the son of Benjamin Rikard and Gladys (Green) Rikard. He married Maxine Fulton on June 18, 1947. Donald was a chemical engineer. He graduated from Texas A&M in 1950. Donald also served in the United States Army. He worked for Dow Chemical for forty two and a half years. Donald rose from engineer to Vice President of manufacturing world wide, and was on the Board of Directors. Donald also ran his own ranching concern. He lived in Lake Jackson for 28 years, Michigan for 10 years, and commuted for 5 years. He was a resident of Lampasas for the past 14 years. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Lampasas, where he had served on the finance committee. He had also served on the local planning and zoning board. Survivors include: wife: Maxine Rikard of Lampasas, Texas Sons: Bob Rickard and wife Cynthia of Fairfield, Texas Mark Rikard and wife Terri of Lampasas, Texas Daughter; Lisa Roll and husband Mark of Boerne, Texas Sister; Marilee Arrington of Carrolton, Texas Grandchildren; Ben, Andrew, Jon, Nathan, Zac, Lauren, Katherine Caroline, Bryan, Russell, Taylour, and Niki Great-grandchildren; Jaeda, Kaileigh, and Evan Donald was preceded in death by his brother, Bob Rikard, and 2 sisters, Virginia and Dolly Ann. A memorial service for Mr. Rikard will be held on Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Lampasas with Reverend George Lumpkin and Reverend J.W.
