Petra Salazar

Petra Rojas Salazar, age 84 of Lampasas, TX died Friday August 10, 2012 at Scott & White Memorial Hospital. Petra was born January 13, 1928 in McNeil, Texas, the daughter of Ricardo Rojas and Dolores (Cisneros) Rojas. Petra was raised in Bertram, Texas. When she was younger, she was a migrant worker. Petra was a homemaker, a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, and she lived in Lampasas for most of her life. Survivors include: Husband, Esidoro R. Salazar of Lampasas Sons; Isidoro Salazar Jr. (Yolanda) of Lampasas Joaquin Salazar (Jamie) of North Carolina Richard Salazar of Lampasas Daniel Salazar (Oralia) of Lampasas Daughters; Paula Salazar Tovar (Jose) of Lipan Adela Rojas (Tomas) of North Carolina Rosa Salazar (Gilberto Molina) of North Carolina Dalia Salazar (Rolando Medina) of Florida Sandra J. Salazar of Florida Brother; Pete Rojas of California 36 grandchildren, 86 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren And numerous nieces and nephews Petra was preceded in death by her daughter, Mary Bocanegra, and several sisters and brothers. Rosary will be recited Wednesday August 15, 2012 at 5:30 p.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel. Funeral Mass will be Thursday August 16, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lampasas.
