Oliver Lamar Bear

Oliver Lamar Bear, age 87 of Lampasas, TX died Sunday July 29, 2012 at his home. Lamar was born December 22, 1924 in Naruna, the son of John Oliver Bear and Mary Elizabeth Despain. He was a barber in Lampasas for 38 years and a rancher. Lamar spent several years in Big Lake, Texas, but lived in Lampasas for most of his life. Survivors include: Daughters; Nancy Thomas of Naruna Dixie Harrison of Belton Doris Barker of Stephenville Brother, John LaRue Bear of Houston 7 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren Lamar was preceded in death by his wife Josephine, his parents, and his brother Weldon Bear. Funeral services for Mr. Bear will be held on Wednesday August 1, 2012 at 11:30 am at Sneed Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Naruna Cemetery.
