Lenox Dale Oakley, age 73 of Lometa, TX died Saturday July 21, 2012 at his home. Lenox was born March 1, 1939 in Lometa, TX the son of Ernest Walter Oakley and Myrtle Katherine (Ramsdell) Oakley. He graduated from Lometa High School and moved to Houston, TX. There he enjoyed a career as a warehouse manager for VWR Scientific for many years. He retired in 2005 and moved back to his ranch outside of Lometa named “The Bullet Proof Ranch”. He loved competition BBQ cook-offs with his team, “Thunderbelly”, he was a hard worker, a very loving father, a wise man full of humor and jokes. He loved to make people laugh, loved hunting and fishing and taking his pet basset hound, Scooter riding on his 4 wheeler. He is truly missed.

A memorial service will be held in Houston, TX at a later date.
