Douglas McArthur Kahlstrom

Douglas McArthur Kahlstrom, age 70 of Lampasas, TX died Friday July 6, 2012 at his home. Douglas was born May 1, 1942 in Brownington, Vermont, the son of Edgar Kahlstrom Sr. and Dorcas (Ward) Kahlstrom. In 1961, he married his wife, Nancy (White). Douglas was in the United States Army for 20 years. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War. Douglas also had a 20 year career in law enforcement with the Lampasas Police Department, the Lampasas Sheriff’s Department, and the Kempner Police Department, as both a patrol officer and as chief of police. He was a resident of Lampasas since 1975. His family includes; wife Nancy Kahlstrom of Lampasas Sons; Doug Kahlstrom Jr. and his wife Shirley Mitchell of Lampasas Mark Kahlstrom and his wife Gitti of Ft. Worth Daughter, Kristan Hall of Lampasas Seven grandchildren Three great-grandchildren Douglas was preceded in death by his parents, his sisters Cora Wright, Hazel Sullivan, and Wanda Thorton, and by his brothers Robert and Arvid Kahlstrom. A memorial service for Mr. Kahlstrom will be held at a later date.
